TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 35814 SUBJECT: GRB 240227A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/02/27 04:48:09 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM <do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov> The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB At 04:40:15 UT on 27 Feb 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240227A (trigger 730701620.164308 / 240227195). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 69.6, Dec = -61.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 04h 38m, -61d 12'), with a statistical uncertainty of 3.6 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 13.0 degrees. The skymap can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn240227195/q...
