TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 44888 SUBJECT: GRB 260609A: Fermi GBM Final Localization DATE: 26/06/09 21:40:53 GMT FROM: eliza.neights@gmail.com The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB "At 20:05:42.61 UT on 09 June 2026, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 260609A (trigger 802728347/260609837). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 42.43, Dec = -7.99 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 2h 49m, -7d 59'), with a statistical uncertainty of 8.05 degrees.
