TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36662 SUBJECT: GRB 240612A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/06/12 12:15:08 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 12:04:28 UT on 12 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240612A (trigger 739886673.980364 / 240612503).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 316.4, Dec = 5.4 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 21h 05m, 5d 24'), with a statistical uncertainty of 2.5 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 86.0 degrees.
