ASASSN-17eg: refined period and about type
Using the ZTF data, I obtained a refined orbital period of 0.07859690(5) d. The mean light curve is unlike that of an short-period dwarf nova or novalike, but is a smooth sinusoidal one with a full amplitude of 0.26 mag. The object looks like to me basically a reflection variable. The 2019 outburst likely came from an accretion disk formed by a small amount of mass-transfer. The transverse velocity is twice larger than that of OV Boo and ASASSN-17eg is probably a population II binary.
