As of this minute (Jan 35.556 UT) I have rec'd two confirmations of the
nova suspect in Centaurus:


From Alexandre Amorim:
 
2007 Jan 25.0313 UT, 8.7 (Alexandre Amorim, Florianopolis, Brazil, 
20x80 binoculars)

Tycho-2 sequence used and Liller's coordinates.

I visually confirm Bill's nova suspect in Cen as detailed below:

Jan. 25.529, 8.3 (A.Pearce, Nedlands, W. Australia);

I have visually measured the following position for the suspect:

RA 11h 43.2m Dec -58d 04m

I have also checked the DSS and there is nothing at this location brighter
than 14th mag.
