[vsnet-alert 10510] DV Sco superoutburst; superhump period

DV Sco superoutburst

   Berto Monard has kindly provided time-series photometry on Sep. 3.
The data clearly show superhumps, indicating that the current outburst
is a superoutburst.  The superhump period is around 0.106 d,
suggesting that the previous determination (vsnet-alert 8325) referred
to an one-day alias.  The conclusion "DV Sco is one of the rare
dwarf novae in the period gap" is unchanged, or even more strongly
supported.  Further time-resolved photometry is encouraged.
