The eclipsing SU UMa-type dwarf nova V2051 Oph is
possibly undergoing a superoutburst. The last such outburst
was in 2005 Sep (mag 13.5). Despite its poor seasonal location,
follow-up observations are urged to clarify the nature of
the outburst. The superoutbursts of this object tended to
occur around solar conjunctions, suggesting that many of them
may have escaped detection.
