Unfiltered observations of ASASSN-22jz were done at CBA KKO with nightly
evening sessions on dates 19 to 23 oct 2022. The last session did run to
well below airmass 2.
They show that after 14d into outburst, asassn-22jz has at last gone into a
strong modulation mode with superhumps of 0.11CR amplitude and a period of
0.0586d +/- 0.0003d. The actual superhumps did start around 21-22 oct.
The mean magnitude around 23.8 oct was 11.87CR.
The amplitude of the outburst, the 2 weeks time delay …

detection and the actual superhump signature, and the periodicity all point
to a ugwz classification of the object.
Yet another ugwz star detected by the ASASSN survey.
The predicted abundance of these type objects is getting substantiated.

Josch Hambsch and Itoh-san have reported observations.
The object shows superhumps with a period of 0.05761(3) d
(amplitude 0.10 mag).
MASTER OT J001204.00-412337.4: rebrightening
Josch Hambsch has detected a rebrightening on Aug. 17.
Having unusual outburst property, this object deserves
continuous attention and time-resolved photometry.
ASASSN-22jz: new WZ Sge-type dwarf nova
Berto Monard has reported observations on two nights.
The object was fading rather rapidly (0.3 mag/d),
probably in viscous fading phase.
Although there were much irregularity, I could detect
a period of 0.05404(4) d (double wave, 0.035 mag).
Although the profile is not very typical for early superhumps,
the period appears to be real based on the appearance of
one-day aliases. The rather unusual profile of
early superhumps a result of their low …

overlapping irregularity. Considering the outburst
amplitude and peak M_V, this object can be identified
to be a WZ Sge star.

MASTER OT J001204.00-412337.4: strange behavior
Josch Hambsch has reported new observations.
The object started fading rapidly on Aug. 8.
The duration of the superoutburst (8 d) is
too short for a WZ Sge star. Observations of subsequent
behavior are very important (the object still shows
superhumps).

A DASCH search revealed a previous (super?)outburst recorded
on Harvard plates:

1920 April 22.216 UT, mpg. 11.33
ASASSN-22jz looks like a WZ Sge-type dwarf nova outburst
(amplitude 9 magnitudes) at a distance of ~230 pc.
Time-resolved photometry is urgently required.
