Hi All
Following the posting on the Central Bureau's Transient Object Confirmation Page about a possible Nova in Sco (TOCP Designation: PNV J17224490-4137160) we performed some follow-up of this object through a TEL 0.1-m f/3.56 astrograph + CMOS located in Yass, North South Wales in Australia and operated by Telescope Live network (MPC code Q56).
On images taken on April 21.5, 2023 we can confirm the presence of an optical counterpart with R-filtered CCD magnitude +7.8 (R-filtered images were saturated in 30-second exposures) at coordinates:
R.A. = 17 22 45.01, Decl.= -41 37 15.6
(equinox 2000.0; Gaia DR2 catalogue reference stars for astrometry).

Additional photometry using 5-second exposures with the same setup 0.1-m f/3.56 astrograph + CMOS operated by Telescope Live network (Australia, MPC code Q56) are as follows:
April 21.6809 UT V = 7.3 April 21.6814 UT R = 7.1
