Dear colleagues,
I have just finished analysing my unfiltered CCD observations of PS1-3PIJ181025.43+193128.6 (aka Gaia18ama) obtained on 2023, May 18/19 at CBA Belgium Observatory using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and QHY-268M CMOS camera under clear skies. My observations were triggered by Taichi Kato's post in vsnet-alert 27762.
The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of regular superhumps with an amplitude of 0.31 mag, establishing PS1-3PIJ181025.43+193128.6 as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis, using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0) yields a combined superhump period of 0.0892 +/- 0.0020d. The object was at mag CV = 14.5 on May 19th.
I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis.
Best regards
Tonny
