TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 38495 SUBJECT: GRB 241209E: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/12/09 18:37:23 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 18:26:43 UT on 9 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241209E (trigger 755461608.700102 / 241209769).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 53.1, Dec = 7.6 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 03h 32m, 7d 35'), with a statistical uncertainty of 9.8 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 57.0 degrees.
