TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36617 SUBJECT: GRB 240605B: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/06/05 08:17:45 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 08:07:04 UT on 5 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240605B (trigger 739267629.47752 / 240605338).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 68.2, Dec = 34.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 04h 32m, 34d 30'), with a statistical uncertainty of 18.1 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 78.0 degrees.
