Hello friends from VSNET.I've been following V0854 Centauri since the beginning of the year, more frequently since April. On the night of 07/28 I noticed that it was dimmer than the 7.5 magnitude comparison star. As the days passed it continued to decline. Being today close to magnitude 8.5, approximately 2.5 times dimmer than the day I noticed the drop. After my warning, other observers confirmed the fall, Antonio Padilla Filho, Moisés Montero Reyes Ortíz, Eurimar Araujo, Paulo Reis Fernandes, Daniel Jose Mendicini and Peter F Williams. There is a small possibility that the star will regain its brightness and go back to "max", but what we are seeing appears to be a deep minimum of it. The last one was in 2020 (left corner of the light curve), it was not a deep minimum, as it can get close to magnitude 15.
