[vsnet-alert 26486] DDE 35 superoutburst (since Nov. 24)
by Patrick Schmeer 16 Dec '21

16 Dec '21

DDE 35 (UGSU) Superhump period 0.116 d (above the orbital period gap) https://www.aavso.org/vsx/index.php?view=detail.top&oid=409433 During our ongoing CV monitoring program Patrick Wiggins noticed an outburst of DDE 35 on a CCD image taken on 2021 December 14. According to ATLAS and ASAS-SN Sky Patrol data DDE 35 was already bright on November 24. A precursor outburst was possibly recorded by ATLAS on November 16. https://asas-sn.osu.edu/sky-patrol/coordinate/b75b5ff0-ad77-4e83-b220-5dbbb… https://asas-sn.osu.edu/sky-patrol/coordinate/5c01e639-08a3-4781-ba77-cc5e8… ZTF light curve, data, and images (via Lasair): https://lasair.roe.ac.uk/object/ZTF18accnpno/ Gaia Photometric Science Alerts data: http://gsaweb.ast.cam.ac.uk/alerts/alert/Gaia16aoy/ Time-resolved photometry during the current outburst is encouraged. [vsnet-alert 26484] MASTER OT J030227.28+191754.5: no ordinary superhumps yet?
by 反保雄介 15 Dec '21

15 Dec '21

MASTER OT J030227.28+191754.5: no ordinary superhumps yet? Kyoto U team, Itoh-san, Kiyota-san, Tamas Tordai, Osaka Kyoiku U team, Vihorlat Observatory, Josch Hambsch, and Tonny Vanmunster have reported further observations. Even though more than 2 weeks have passed since the outburst peak, there are no ordinary superhumps yet. Continuous time-resolved observations are encouraged to catch the growing (stage A) superhumps! Best, Yusuke

[vsnet-alert 26483] MASTER OT J144248.29+673944.7: new SU UMa-type dwarf nova
by tonny.vanmunster＠gmail.com 12 Dec '21

12 Dec '21

Dear colleagues, I have been collecting unfiltered CCD observations of MASTER OT J144248.29+673944.7 over multiple nights at CBA Extremadura Observatory, using a 0.40-m f/5.1 telescope and SX-46 CCD camera under (mostly) clear skies. The collected light curves did not show obvious periodic modulations, with the exception of last night Dec 10/11, 2021. Regular superhumps with an amplitude of 0.25 mag are clearly visible, establishing MASTER OT J144248.29+673944.7 as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0), yields a combined superhump period of 0.0559 +/- 0.0006d. The object was at mag CV = 15.8 on Dec 11th. I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis. TU Men: no superhumps? Josch Hambsch have been observing this target. Although some variations were present, no large-amplitude superhumps have been recorded. The current outburst appears to be a long normal outburst.
