[vsnet-alert 27826] Mis V1449: new long-period SU UMa-type dwarf nova

Dear colleagues, I have just finished analysing my unfiltered CCD observations of Mis V1449 obtained on 2023, Jun 07/08 at CBA Belgium Observatory using a 0.40-m f/10.0 telescope and QHY-268M CMOS camera under clear skies. My observations were triggered by Taichi Kato's post in vsnet-alert 27825. The resulting light curve clearly shows the presence of regular superhumps with an amplitude of 0.29 mag, establishing Mis V1449 as a new SU UMa-type dwarf nova. A period analysis, using the ANOVA, Lomb-Scargle, Generalized-Lomb-Scargle and PDM methods (Peranso 3.0) yields a combined (long) superhump period of 0.1261- +/- 0.0013d. The object was at mag CV = 15.1 on Jun 08th. Follow-up observations are recommended to refine the superhump period. I will send my observations to AAVSO, CBA and VSNET for further analysis. MisV1449 rare outburst Outburst in 2017 May and 2020 Sep. The 2017 one may have been a superoutburst (rebrightening in ATLAS?). The 2020 one was relatively short. Carter_SDSSJ173047.59+554518.5 superhumps Itoh-san reported observations on June 5 and clear superhumps were visible. The outburst was possibly composed of early superhump-type superoutburst, dip and ordinary superoutburst (type E-like in hydrogen-rich WZ Sge stars).

Carter_SDSSJ173047.59+554518.5 already after dip (AM CVn star) Tamas Tordai and Tonny Vanmunster have reported observations. The was an apparent dip on June 3 and the object was observed to brighten on June 3-4 (with superhumps).
