TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 38447 SUBJECT: GRB 241206A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/12/06 12:17:08 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 12:06:49 UT on 6 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241206A (trigger 755179614.876062 / 241206505).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 215.5, Dec = 56.0 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 14h 22m, 56d 00'), with a statistical uncertainty of 5.2 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 38.0 degrees.
