The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB

"At 18:57:10.30 UT on 20 July 2025, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 250720B (trigger 774730635/250720790). This trigger was initially classified as Distant Particles by the flight software, but is in fact a GRB.

The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 92.04, Dec = -80.65 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 6h 8m, -80d 39'), with a statistical uncertainty of 5.52 degrees.

The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 152 degrees.
