TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36674 SUBJECT: GRB 240616A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/06/16 05:47:16 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely SHORT GRB
At 05:36:43 UT on 16 Jun 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240616A (trigger 740209008.10072 / 240616234).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 151.9, Dec = 14.3 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 10h 07m, 14d 18'), with a statistical uncertainty of 11.5 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 72.0 degrees.
