TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 36361 SUBJECT: GRB240430A: Fermi GBM Final Localization DATE: 24/05/01 14:58:25 GMT FROM: Cuán de Barra at UCD cuan.debarra@ucdconnect.ie
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB.
At 19:21:19.72 UT on 30 Apr 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 240430A (trigger 736197684 / 240430806).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 201.0, Dec = 1.5 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 +13h 24m, +01d 32') with a statistical uncertainty of 2.6 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 62 degrees.
