TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 38403 SUBJECT: GRB 241201A: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/12/01 15:06:28 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 14:55:59 UT on 1 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241201A (trigger 754757764.155878 / 241201622).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 179.9, Dec = 3.2 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 11h 59m, 3d 12'), with a statistical uncertainty of 2.6 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 26.0 degrees.
