TITLE: GCN CIRCULAR NUMBER: 38698 SUBJECT: GRB 241229B: Fermi GBM Final Real-time Localization DATE: 24/12/29 01:46:54 GMT FROM: Fermi GBM Team at MSFC/Fermi-GBM do_not_reply@GIOC.nsstc.nasa.gov
The Fermi GBM team reports the detection of a likely LONG GRB
At 01:36:16 UT on 29 Dec 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241229B (trigger 757128981.063788 / 241229067).
The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 275.0, Dec = 62.4 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 18h 19m, 62d 23'), with a statistical uncertainty of 6.1 degrees.
The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 27.0 degrees.
