The current outburst started on 2021 October 31.
Previous outbursts were recorded from 2014 August 16 to 25
and from 2020 March 19 to April 5 (rebrightening observed
on April 15 by Gaia, see below).
Time-resolved photometry is required.

This object was classified as a "Mira" (of course,
not correct) in ZTF variable star catalog.
The ZTF data indeed showed Mira-like variation.
There was a maximum reaching zg=12.6 in 2018 Nov.
The present behavior may not be so special.
